The Hungarian gypsy company Ando Drom (Roma for 'On the way') is a true musical breeding ground. Band leader Jenö Zsigó gathers a group of talented youngsters around him for each new CD. Zsigó does not see himself as much as a musician but more as a 'talent mentor'. The young musicians come from all parts of Hungary and that produces a varied sound. … songs are fraternally alongside melancholic songs that try to avert life's misfortunes. Ando Drom plays both traditionals and own material. The band contributed to the soundtrack for the film Latcho Drom in the past and also attracted many young rock fans after a successful performance at the popular Sziget Festival in Budapest. Jenö Zsigó initially set up Ando Drom, because he did not want to lose the musical heritage of the Hungarian gypsies. The graduated sociologist has certainly succeeded in this. Muro Nav is a keeper.
