All Hague beat bands that come in the sixties Q65 by far the toughest. Not only the music is wild and unpolished, with their riotous group behavior with lots of drug use, to the imagination. Soon they are known as the Dutch Pretty Things'. Behind the scenes keeping talented young producers like Hans van Hemert and Peter Koelewijn himself with the Hague lefgozers busy. The single The Life I Live
… (1966) is the culmination of the work of the group. It is not for nothing later decades by EAR Music Magazine voted 'Best Dutch single ever. The stunt accompanying the release of this record (the band supposedly sailing with a dinghy from England to the Netherlands) takes the Q the front pages of all newspapers. Because of conflicts, draft, and problems with the justice is of the band in 1974 from each other. Interestingly, the bassist Peter Finch after the break only remain successful in bands like Finch and The Boxx. Singer Wim Bieler dies in 2000 at the age of 53 from the effects of a cardiac arrest.more
