Los Lobos in East L.A. initially played traditional Mexican music. Inspired by the Californian punk movement, the band shifted its sound. In the early eighties was a rock band Los Lobos to be reckoned with. The souped roots rock of the band was colored with influences from conjunto and other popular Latin styles.
