Blur began life as just another talented Britpop band, but managed to exceed all expectations. Their debut album showed the band had a flair for catchy guitar songs. The next three albums did the band various British poptradities to coalesce into an eclectic whole, and these plates were perfect vehicles for their song writing talent. On later albums Blur looked pointedly at a broader musical palette.
Even after the departure of guitarist Graham Coxon (he went solo) now managed by Damon Albarn-led Blur to achieve impressive results, the expert witness Thinktank in 2003. In 2009 Blur Coxon will play some shows again.more
