The Dutch Within Temptation was founded in 1995 by guitarist Robert Westerholt. His grunt vocals alternated with the angelic voice of his girlfriend Sharon den Adel. Despite repeated line-up changes the band Waddinxveen did in the early days with her fabulous mix of metal and gothic rock impression. The CD Mother Earth (2001) and especially the single Ice Queen, the group finally broke through in the Netherlands.
