Singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Tito Paris (1963-) came from a musical family who lived in Mindelo (Sao Vicente). Paris and his guitar were inseparable buddies. At the request of Bana emigrated Paris at the age of nineteen to Lisbon and played bass guitar for four years in Bana's band Voz de Cabo Verde. He became a much sought after accompanist in Cape Verdean and Portuguese circles. His instrumental debut Fidjo Maguado (1985) showed his mastery as a guitarist. Paris formed his own band and albums Dança Criola Mi (1994) and the Graça Tchega (1996) made him internationally known. Like Bana Paris also opened his own restaurant-club Enclave. His tours took him from Oslo to New York and Louisiana to Paris.
