After its albums
Walls (2016) and
When You See Yourself (2021), the band Kings of Leon has faced quite a bit of criticism. The productions were said to be too slick, giving the band more and a more polished sound like fellow
Coldplay and
Kensington. In that regard, Can We Please Have Fun is a lot more successful. It's actually reminiscent of the guitar band with a raw edge that Kings Of Leon once
… was. Among the highlights are the catchy Rainbow Ball and the nicely rattling Hesitation Generation, on which vocalist Caleb Followill lets himself go. Following the previous albums, Kings Of Leon were also criticized for somewhat tame performances, but at least this material inspires more inspired concerts. (JV)more
