Imagine Dragons' sixth album follows up their diptych
Mercury Act 1 & 2 (2022). It is the first album on which the Las Vegas-based group operates as a trio, after drummer Daniel Platzman quit in 2023. Although the album cover features a sunrise or sunset, LOOM offers fairly little new under the sun. Fans of the bands, therefore, can once again indulge in a collection of uplifting and sing-along
… stadium anthems. Here and there, the group sprinkles light influences from EDM, adding to the energy across the board. Although the music of the group surrounding frontman Dan Reynolds is easy to listen to, the group's pumping pop rock on LOOM does not bore. However, the re-listening factor is somewhat limited.
