Started Liberation (May 5) in 1945 as an amateur / student combo is the Dutch Swing College Band has become a world renowned jazz ensemble. It is also Dutch longest running old-style jazz band. The group grew out of a plan clarinetist and pianist Peter Schilperoort French Tick to establish a school for young jazz musicians. Initially the band played this Dutch Swing College jazz from the thirties,
… but Schilperoortstraat leader focused more and more on older jazz styles like New Orleans and Dixieland. After his death in 1990 at the dedication of the new leader Bob Kaper thanks that the group continued to exist. Back in the original line up of seven people, including four horns, give them their own musical approach Dixieland, boogie woogie, blues songs and stomps stature.more
