Kid Rock, the alter ego of the American Robert Ritchie (1971) began as a faithful follower of Beastie Boys, but was only really known as one of the figureheads of the rap rock in the nineties. His music proved to be ideal for parties (preferably including several drugs) and therefore spoke soon a large crowd. He later added a genuine 'southern rock' element to its combination of hip-hop and metal.
