The Welsh multi-instrumentalist and producer John Cale (1942) began his career as a member of The Velvet Underground. After he got out in 1968 this legendary cult band, he began a long and diverse solo career as a musician and producer. Under his guidance made include The Stooges and The Modern Lovers their debut albums. On his own albums he exchanged airy pop with extremely inaccessible avant-garde.
The members of Little Feat recorded Paris 1919 (1973) is considered his most consistent work.more
