Dave Evans (Carmarthen, Wales, July 20, 1953) is a British singer. He was the first singer of AC / DC. Evans was born in Wales and emigrated with his family to Australia, where the family was living in Brisbane. At sixteen, he left after a dispute with his father to Sydney and got into the music business. End 1973 he became lead singer of AC / DC. In 1974 he took the first single with the group.
His behavior, however, was seen after a few months to as much glam rock by Malcolm Young, so he was fired. His successor Bon Scott propelled the band to new heights. Evans later singer Rabbitt and Hot Cockerell, with varying success. On February 19, 2000 (exactly twenty years after the death of Bon Scott) gave a tribute concert which he several AC / DC sang songs.
