Flutist Emmanuel Pahud and pianist Stephen Kovacevich released a CD with an original program. The CD opens with Debussy's "Syrinx" for solo flute. With beautiful arabesques, the piece represents the last breath of the god Pan. This is followed by the transcription that Karl Lenski made under the title "Bilitis" of the originally written for piano duo "Épigraphes antiques". Also from Debussy is the
… waltz "La plus que Lente", which is a beautiful pastiche of the background music in the cafes of that time. Emmanuel Pahud and Stephen Kovacevich are assisted by mezzo-soprano Katarina Karnéus and cellist Truls Mork in the performance of Ravel's "Chansons madécasses".
