Vanguard Classics introduces the Passacaille Collection. This is a Belgian company with recordings by the baroque orchestra Il Fondamento, the wind ensemble Octophorus and the fortepianist Jan Vermeulen. On the CD, Octophorus, conducted by Paul Dombrecht, plays three works for 13 each by Richard Strauss. The Serenade Op. 7 and the Suite Op. 4 are early works. The Sonatine No. 2 (Fröhlige Werkstatt)
