The baritone Gino Quilico has long been known for CD recordings of complete operas and videos. He made his debut in 1978 and has sung at the greatest opera houses. On his first recital CD, Quilico sings 19 songs from the oeuvre of Gabriel Fauré, Reynaldo Hahn, Henri Duparc and Alain Payette. They are songs full of passion and melancholy at the same time. This is not only because he has good diction, but also because he does not hesitate to switch to falsetto every now and then, which promotes the atmosphere of intimacy and produces some beautiful quiet moments, as in "L'heure exquise" from Reynaldo Hahn.
