Through Jack Spijkerman's program Kopspijkers, television viewers got to know a team full of talented comedians, who amused them with hilarious imitations of famous Dutch people. Alex Klaasen played Marco Borsato, Ramses Shaffy and Boris and Martine Sandifort played characters such as Mabel Wisse Smit, Princess Margarita and Patty Brard. Both can also be seen in theaters and musicals. Klaasen and
… Sandifort already knew each other from the Academy for Kleinkunst in Amsterdam. Together they created the full-length theater program Volgend Jaar Lach Je d'r Om, with which they won the cabaret festival Cameretten 2000 and which was also awarded the Pall Mall Export Prize. Very well deserved, as it appears after watching this DVD. The two professionals excel at everything: singing, dancing, expressive facial expressions and masterful timing. They evoke emotions; their acts are sometimes even hilariously funny and extremely painful at the same time. Silent and exuberant moments alternate, from a first date with uncomfortably long silences to a hyper-cheerful Frans Bauer & Marianne Weber imitation. Including a dying swan scene and spastic psychotherapist. Genius! (SvdP)more
