Indestructible lively salsa sounds on Diego el Cigala's album Indestructible. Earlier, the Spanish flamenco singer immersed himself in Cuban music and Argentine tango. Now it was salsa turn. Apart from some own songs, the choice fell on pure salsa classics, made famous by greats such as , and . El Cigala recorded it with seasoned salsa musicians in the United States, Colombia, Cuba and Puerto
… Rico. Guest musicians on the album include Afro-Cuban jazz pianist , Venezuelan salsa master Oscar D'Leon and Cuban rumba group . The raw and passionate voice of El Cigala appears to be a welcome addition to the usual salsa line-up of wind instruments, percussionists and background vocals. The song Fiesta Para Bebo is a tribute to the Cuban jazz pianist , with whom El Cigala has made several albums. The entire album is dedicated to his wife Amparo, who died of cancer in August 2015. But as the title indicates, this salsa album is a real celebration of life! (SvdP)more
