Specter concludes the James Bond quadrology that started with Casino Royale. Via Quantum Of Solace and Skyfall, this leads to a grand, somewhat far-fetched denouement. Specter is the name of the organization that turns out to be behind all the suffering that was inflicted on Bond. The soundtrack was composed by Thomas Newman who also provided the music from the previous 007 Skyfall. He has taken
… over the conductor's baton from David Arnold, who composed the music behind the first two movements. Like Arnold, Newman is extremely adept at composing complex tension arcs, an essential element in this type of film.
