Of course it has happened before that artists climbed the tops of the charts after their death, but André Hazes even went a step further. He sold out the Amsterdam ArenA posthumously. During the Samen Met Dré concerts, a selection of Dutch-speaking artists performed a duet with the deceased singer. Just like on this CD, Hazes' vocals came from previously made recordings while the guest artists
… sang their parts live. Among the guests are Amsterdam life song singers such as Peter Beense, Wesly Bronkhorst and Wolter Kroes, while recognized national top performers such as René Froger and Gerard Joling also sang a duet. However, the two artists who managed to garner the loudest applause, were at the same time the ones with the least stage experience: André Junior and Roxeanne Hazes provided goosebumps moments among the massively arriving audience. Together they keep the legacy of the little great songwriter more than alive. (PdK)more
