The Urban Knights are: Ramsey Lewis (piano), Grover Washington Jr. (tenor and soprano saxophone), Victor Bailey (electric bass) and Omar Hakim (drums). The repertoire that can be heard on this CD is groovy and soul-like jazz, which is partly due to producer Maurice White (Earth, Wind and Fire), who also wrote six songs for this album.
