Trumpeter Freddie Hubbard has many beautiful jazz compositions to his name, some of which can already be described as jazz classics, such as "Hub Cap", "Lament for Booker" and "Up jumped spring". On "Hubsongs" trumpet players Tim Hagans and Marcus Printup have recorded ten songs by Hubbard. It has become a tribute to the composer Hubbard. Incidentally, he produced the album himself, together with

The musicians who can be heard alongside both trumpet players are: Vincent Herring (alto saxophone), Javon Jackson (tenor saxophone), Benny Green (piano), Peter Washington (bass) and Kenny Washington (drums).
