A 'must' for those who love big band jazz and the songs of Frank Sinatra is the CD "Sinatraland" by Patrick Williams. This orchestra leader / arranger was already closely involved in Sinatra's latest CDs of duets. He managed to bring together a great big band for "Sinatraland" who play twelve songs in a delightful way that are mainly known for Sinatra. Jazz musicians such as Eddie Daniels, David
… Sanborn, Tom Scott, Phil Woods, Hubert Laws, George Bohanon, Mitchel Forman and Peter Erskine contributed to this project. Songs included on this CD are: "All or nothing at all", "You make me feel so young", "All the way", "Saturday night (is the loneliest night of the week)" and "Just one of those things ". The big band plays superbly and the solos are very rewarding. The CD was dedicated to Sinatra and the arrangers who worked for him. (JW) _more
