Saxophonist Bill Evans has been walking the middle path of crossover jazz for many years with his mix of smooth jazz and contemporary jazz fusion. The album Soul Insider contains eleven songs, which show his preference for the soul groove. Bill Evans is backed by seven outstanding musicians, including Ricky Peterson on Hammond Organ, Steve Jordan on Drums, and John Scofield (two songs) on Guitar.
