With trumpet player , guitarist and producer / sample artist in the ranks, Atmosphères became an ambient jazz affair, as only Scandinavians can. Hendriksen makes his trumpet sound like an exotic reed flute, against dark soundscapes by Aarset and Bang. Hamasyan feels at home with this and finds his way with moody and abstract piano playing.
