Soulvation is a new dance collective led by the Rotterdam DJ Ronald Molendijk and producer Jeroen Rietbergen. Last summer they already scored a modest top 40 hit with the funky I Just Can't Stop. Soulvation makes clubhouse, extremely danceable due to the warm sound and graced with poppy and jazzy elements such as the saxophone. This saxophone is played on Some Love by both Hans and Candy Dulfer (on
… Doobies and on Hold On), while the vocals are taken care of by Caro, Nova and Andy - surnames unknown. Catchy songs, danceable, cheerful, in short, a great album that will undoubtedly fall well and sounds a lot more stylish than the average Dutch trance hit. (BP)more
