Mudvayne is an American metal band that was founded in 1996, after which they gained fame by providing the opening act for Slipknot. Mudvayne's music is often placed in the gray area between nu-metal and experimental music. In 2000 their well-received debut album LD50 was released, of which The End Of All Things To Come is the successor. Again, the album is not that easy to characterize but shows
… a style that is somewhere between System Of A Down, Slipknot and Coal Chamber. In practice that means a lot of screaming, complicated rhythms and low tuned guitars. Incidentally, Mudvayne never reaches the level of the aforementioned bands. The End Of All Thing To Come declines considerably after a while. Although the band plays excellent technically, the lack of originality and mediocre quality of the songs eventually breaks up Mudvayne, leaving a messy and somewhat boring record. (RWK)more
