The young British singer / songwriter Thea Gilmore (1979) is already praised in her homeland as one of the most important new talents. At the age of 24 she already has four albums to her name, all of which she released on her own label Shameless. In her enormous productivity and verbal maturity she evokes memories of the early Bob Dylan, but also the most important names from the American underground
… (Tom Waits, The Replacements) have not missed their influence. Gilmore has a limited vocal range, which she knows how to use optimally to convey her songs. After recording a cover of Dylan (I Dreamed I Saw St. Augustine) with a number of rock musicians (including Robbie McIntosh from The Pretenders) for a compilation for the English magazine Uncut, she immediately decided to record nine other songs and release them as her fifth album. The limited edition, with eleven previously unreleased songs, was initially only sold via the internet but later also became available via wholesalers. A unique document from a special new talent.
