Many metal fans will turn on a light when they hear the name Psychotic Waltz. In the nineties this band made some strong records in the progressive metal genre. In any case, the warm vocals of Buddy Lackey were special and many were disappointed when Psychotic Waltz ceased to exist in 1997. Dead Soul Tribe is Lackey's new band, although he now operates under the pseudonym Devon Graves. In 2002 the
… fairly well-received self-titled debut was released and already the follow-up A Murder Of Crows. Dead Soul Tribe, like Psychotic Waltz, makes very original music, which can best be described as the ingenuity of Tool, combined with the atmosphere of Dream Theater. In addition, Graves has a beautiful, glowing voice, that grabs the listener by the throat and never lets go during the entire record. Dead Soul Tribe shows that heavy metal can also be beautiful.
