The Tea Party from Canada has been releasing albums since 1993. Their heavy rock, mixed with Eastern and Celtic elements was quite successful in the nineties. In 2001 the previous album The Interzone Mantras was released, on which a more solid rock sound was heard. This trend is continued at Seven Circles. The first two songs immediately hit it hard. Only in the song One Step Closer Away does the
… listener get air. The album continues with the quiet Oceans, after which the Eastern elements form the intro of Luxuria. The songs that follow (Overload, Coming Back Again and The Watcher) are the only ones produced by Bob Rock (Metallica), and again solid in nature. The Tea Party doesn't really surprise anymore, but delivering solid rock records still goes well for them. (JdD)more
