To celebrate the thirteen-year anniversary of the Rotterdam hardcore formation Neophyte in 2005, 13 Years of Terreur is released, with seventy songs mixed together on two CDs by the 'toughest men in the scene'. Neophyte's first release was The Three Amiga's EP, released in 1992 by Rotterdam Records. These were the early days of the gabber, who conquered all of the Netherlands from Rotterdam and also
… became popular abroad. With simple equipment, an Amiga with the program ProTracker, the first songs of Neophyte were put together by Jeroen Streunding, Danny Greten and Robin van Roon. The fourth 'band member' Jarno Butter was mainly attracted to live performances, where he played guitar, among other things. In the years that followed, Van Roon left the group, Streunding developed into the musical brain and Neophyte grew into one of the greatest hardcore acts in the world. The side projects, of which Body Lotion is the best known, were also successful. Neophyte survived the gabber's relapse in the late 1990s and is still going strong in 2005. Only then no longer with three Amigas, but with a super-deluxe studio full of modern equipment. (IV)more
