Big in the eighties, largely forgotten in the years that followed, that's the story of A-ha. The Norwegian trio's old hits still do well in the Work Vitamins and similar programs, but the two albums the group has made since its comeback in 2000 could in no way match the previous success. A-ha remained the group of that boy with that high voice and that beautiful video clip to the biggest hit Take
… On Me. Analogue is the third CD of the 'new A-ha', after (2000) and (2002), and this one will not forget the earlier work. There are certainly nice songs, but something distinctive is largely missing. Most of the songs are slightly melancholic in nature and the high voice of singer Morten Harket fits well with that, the problem is that little lingers. Once at the second half of the CD you have already forgotten the first half. And that cannot have been the intention. (IV)more
