The Rotterdam Records label formed the basis of the gabber / hardcore, the hard house variant that slowly conquered the Netherlands from Rotterdam, and the world from the Netherlands. The label was founded in 1992 by Paul Elstak as a statement against the (quiet) 'mellow house' and soon there was success: the hit Poing sold more than 200,000 copies. And the Euromasters, Neophyte and Elstak also
… scored well. In 2007, the label's fifteen anniversary was celebrated with the release of the fiftieth CD and 100th vinyl release: an overview of releases from that fifteen years of Gabber's history, mixed together by DJ Neophyte and DJ Panic. (IV)more
