It looks like it's going to happen for The Cribs after all: a breakthrough to a wider audience. The trio already recorded two albums that were full of bouncing garage rock รก la The Libertines. Now the band is under contract with the great Warner and , the front man of , was behind the controls. Alex earns points for the band with his excellent production. The album sounds like a clock and almost
… makes you forget that The Cribs don't know how to crack a single original note on this album. The three Jarman brothers fit in seamlessly with the sound of their British contemporaries. Great if you want to hear something similar to what's already in your record collection ( , , ) but for the more adventurous music lover Men's Needs, Women's Needs, Whatever is a somewhat disappointing exercise.
