Many European bands move to America to force the desired breakthrough there, but this Californian five-piece does it exactly the other way around. The band listened a lot to English groups like Blur, Radiohead and Oasis at home and when their debut album Bright Idea caught on in England (Noel Gallagher even gave them a BRIT Award) the band decided to move to London immediately. … therefore gives exactly what you expect. Fans will probably hear the best of both worlds: carefully composed British songs in a tight and slick American production. Critics may be more inclined to say that Orson sounds a bit too thoughtful and colorless. The band members of Orson do not care much about the criticism.
