We remember Tess Gaerthe (1991) from the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in 2005, when she was the Dutch delegate. Her self-written song Stupid took a respectable seventh place. After that she was regularly found in the high echelons of the Kids Top 20, including the title song of the TV series Spetters (My Very Best Friend) and a duet with Thomas Berge (The Voice of My Heart). Three years after her
… first single, her debut album is finally released, which also contains the aforementioned songs. What makes this album with typical teenage pop special is the fact that Gaerthé himself co-wrote almost all the songs. As is the trend in 2008, her lyrics are a mixture of English and Dutch: 'the very first kiss / I now know what I'm missing'. This fresh pop album will indeed prove irresistible to the young target group. With five video clips. (MS)more
