The Notwist was created near Munich in the late 1980s. After a start in the rough hardcore the group switches quite radically to a more experimental and own sound. … Neon Golden from 2002. After six years of silence you would expect a little more urgency but light alternative rock dominates this album. Singer and guitarist Marcus Acher has a thin, melodic voice, with which he hardly commands any attention within a sound carpet of organically whirring electronics and clanging acoustic guitars. Music that certainly sounds beautiful and is well put together, but at the same time gets stuck in it a bit without character.more
