The Thornton brothers of hip-hop duo The Clipse are considered the best coke rappers of this millennium. The successful concept album Hell Hath No Fury (2006), on which Pusha T and Malice performed high-quality drug deal traps with the signature instrumental backing of production team The Neptunes, has already become a classic. Of course a great honor, but this immediately created high expectations
… for the follow-up album, Til The Casket Drops. This time there is also room for producers such as Sean C and LV and the talented DJ Khalil. Also striking is the fact that The Neptunes have exchanged the minimalist beats, which worked well on the previous record, for warmer and fuller synthesizer-oriented compositions. Til The Casket Drops don't make it to Hell Hath No Fury, but if The Clipse keep renewing itself and keep the bar so high, there will be plenty of good things to be released by the guys. (GL)more
