Behind Baskerville are Thijs van der Klugt (Heist) and Bart Possemis (ex-Relax). Every song they make stands or falls in finding a suitable riff. Both gentlemen are incredibly proud of their originality, but in fact the music they make is nothing more than standard rock with a cheap chop-boom electro beat underneath and some filter effects where the guitar parts are replaced by distorted synthesizers.
Yet this provides the ideal sound for large festivals, because the power is abundantly present in the sound of Baskerville. It is not without reason that a large part of the Dutch pop world contributes to Disco Biscuits. El Ten (Gotcha, Trackaddicts), Bart van Liemt (The Sheer), Jacqueline Govaert (ex-Krezip), Pete Philly, Alex Krottje (Heist) and Ivo Maissan are on the list of guest vocalists. The only truly original song is Fool For Love with Pete Philly that delivers original dark electro rap rock. Baskerville is not really original, but very powerful. (AD)more
