In 2010 Ke $ ha could be added to the list of 'adventurous pop singers who rival Lady Gaga'. With debut Animal and the irresistible single Tik Tok, the American was quite successful. Her popularity has since been dwarfed by Lady Gaga and Katy Perry. Yet the singer has something that many of her competitors do not have: boyfriends in the indie scene. Ke $ ha in turn invites a handful of great names to her second CD: Iggy Pop, The Strokes and The Black Keys. Still, Warrior is anything but an indie rock album. The record just bounces on where Animal left off two years ago. This means catchy choruses, plasticized voices and a lot of generic electronics. On rare occasions, some rattling guitars also surface.
