Poco was formed in 1968 after Buffalo Springfield fell apart. Since then it has been a coming and going of band members - with big names - but of the original line-up in 2013 only Rusty Young remains. With guitarists Michael Webb, Jack Sundrud and drummer George Lawrence he breathes new life into the band by delivering the first studio album in eleven years with All Fired Up. All Fired Up is an
… appropriate title because Poco sounds solid, lively and recognizable. In addition to the expected dose of warm country, the foursome with That's What Rock And Roll Will Do and Rockin 'Horse also comes with some heavier work. What is also striking is that Young is still in a good voice and the singing together with Sundrud and Webb sounds very warm again. Poco is completely back with All Fired Up, but the question is how long will they wait with a successor. Over the years, Young has never rushed, no matter who he worked with. (BvdV)more
