Sunday Sun makes its first appearance in 2012 when it is named 3FM Serious Talent. Based on a few EPs and a battery of support acts for major bands (Racoon, Posies, De Dijk), the quartet manages to make quite an impression. It is not given to everyone to play at festivals such as Metropolis and Concert at Sea before an album is released. The key to Sunday Sun's success is enthusiasm to paraphrase

Sunday Sun has the same amount of energy, commitment and happy melodies. On their debut album We Let Go, the sixties are never far away thanks to the professional harmony vocals of guitarists Yoshi Breen and Koen-Willem Toering, who write the songs together like a kind of Lennon and McCartney. But soul, funk and new wave are also featured on this uplifting power pop record that sometimes seems to consist of twelve interpretations of Walking On Sunshine by Katrina & The Waves! (JE)more
