… crushing climax. The history of the Caribbean was not cheerful. For example, there is a lot of haunted chase music with a paranoid slant to be found on Caribbean Roots. An excellent means to express feelings of anger, aggression and impotence in combination with Joseph's powerful poetry. But the album also has moments of serenity and sensitivity in the slower parts.
