Legacy contains unreleased material by boogie-woogie pianist Rob Hoeke, who died in 1999. These are piano pieces that he left to his sons drummer Eric and guitarist Ruben. Decades later, they provided these pieces with accompaniment. Rob Hoeke was also called 'The man with the concrete left hand'. From the 1950s until his death, he based his career on the swinging basis of boogie on the low notes
… of the piano. He was thus counted among the top in Europe. With his two sons as accompanists, those boogies are also going to rock a lot. Ruben Hoeke is a real blues rock guitarist (also belonging to the European top) and does not hesitate to take over a solo from his father with a screeching guitar solo. Jazz drummer Eric Hoeke (New Cool Collective among others) also hits it hard. It is remarkable how they managed to develop their father's music played on the computer into a lively and cohesive whole: a muddy boogie and blues band that unfortunately will never be seen live.
