For a long time , was the only one of the legendary company to vote in the US; David Crosby had a criminal record and the other two are not Americans. Democrat Stills made up for that by campaigning since the years of Richard Nixon to get Americans to the polls. Chris Stills, son of Stephen and French singer , thus doesn't have his political consciousness from a stranger. 'Never in my lifetime
… did I fear that the land of the free would elect a bigot fascist leader', he sings in Blame Game, one of the nice solid rock songs on Don't Be Afraid. On only his third album in 20 years, the young Stills (1974) collaborates with 'modern' pop names like (The Weekend) and (Criminal Mind). He will not outshine his famous father, but this again quite coherent rock album does meet a need in 2018. (RME)more
