The arrow referred to in the title of Noveller's tenth album focuses without mercy on the listener's heart. Sarah Lipstate's music, as she is really called, is a mix of ambient and post-rock that repeatedly goes through the bone. Certainly the first few songs, with their creeping pace, wouldn't look out of place in a grubby horror or science fiction film. From the eight and a half minutes long
… Zeaxanthin, a calm falls over her soundscapes. Although the tension is sometimes turned up and is always present due to the drones present, the glassy and clear sound is also striking. In this way she gradually tries to generate an open listening experience, in which the listener can be left in awe. Towards the end the music gets a bit more bitter again, which keeps you shuttling between fantasy images and delusions with this album.
