For her third album, Canadian Jessy Lanza teamed up again with creative partner Jeremy Greenspan . In the studio she used many modular electronic instruments to create a kind of retro sound. On All The Time, Lanza gracefully moves towards a mix of r & b, electronics and alt-pop รก la FKA twigs. Her voice, which is often strongly distorted and torn to shreds here, gives the whole a somewhat
… alienating effect. The production is generally graceful, but sometimes takes a more fickle direction with breakbeats or stuffy rhythms. Lanza knows how to keep her third album playful in an idiosyncratic way. (JvQ)more
