A duet album by and sounds like a good idea. It hasn't happened yet, but luckily we do have July Talk. This Toronto group is fronted by vocalists Peter Dreimanis and Leah Fay. Dreimanis sings gritty and tough while Fay can sound both sweet and assertive. Pray For It is the third album of the group that is hardly known outside of Canada. Undeserved because it is full of playful pop and rock songs
… in which guitars and drums play obvious roles next to electronics. And then there is always that beautiful contrast between the voices, with the ominous growling Dreimanis being replied by Fay's lighter vocals, or vice versa. 'Don't tell me about your pain about champagne,' they sing in unison in the gospel-like Champagne. This band, which deserves much more fame, has a good sense of irony,more
