About Serj Tankian's
Harakiri (2012) Muziekweb concluded that the
System of a Down singer had lost his capriciousness and unpredictability. On this 20 minute long EP, Tankian seems to be able to give his capriciousness a good outlet again and his sound is very close to System of a Down's. His last three solo albums were somewhat soft. On Elasticity the guitars are raging, the music swings in unexpected
… directions and Tankian uses his theatrical way of singing. There are some moments of reflection with piano-driven gloominess, but the heaviness prevails. Fans of System of a Down can listen to this EP with confidence. (JvQ)more
