Relaxed music combining Congolese lullabies with afro-futuristic hip-hop and electronica. In 2018, a project for the emancipation of African women was established in Brazzaville. Five mothers sing traditional Kongo lullabies in the Lari language and beat rhythms with DIY instruments (forks, plates, baskets, sticks and other recycled materials). Group leader Gladys Samba is a storyteller, rapper and
… cantor, and the other women echo this with choral singing. French hip-hop and electronica producer Rrobin adds additional electronics and rhythms, and Mel Malonga plays the bass guitar. In the second studio album, Ya MizolĂ© - which simply means "second album" in the Lari language - Rrobin and Les Mamans du Congo have become increasingly familiar with each other after a European tour and the music sounds like a whole.
