… jazz and dusty hip-hop. The brightly produced project by producer NK-OK (Namali Kwaten) and instrumentalist Mr. DM (David Mrakpor) sounds both relaxed and refreshing. As befits an ambitious producer album, the genre-transcending approach is substantiated by an extensive list of guest contributions of vocalists and musicians. Many of them come from the London music scene, such as vocalists Farah Audhali and Natalie Lindi, or rappers Jay Prince and Kojey Radical. The relaxed, soulful Rice & Peas includes a contribution from Amsterdam-based multi-instrumentalist Bnnyhunna, who has previously produced for such Dutch artists as Winne, Nnelg and Rimon.(SD)more
